Now that Spring has begun and the days are getting warmer, it's time for the Earth here in England to put on a wonderful display that is absolutely free- wildflowers! Although some species may wait until its warmer, now is the best time to start learning the names of some of the wildflowers, because there aren't too many to over-complicate things!
As I mentioned in my previous post, I have been seeing so many Lesser Celandines around. And yesterday I went on a walk to my local woods and spotted some wood anemones, wild irises and wild garlic (though no flowers there yet). With the Easter holidays approaching or already here, I suggest you take this opportunity to discover some local wildlife! And don't forget- you will probably also see some bees butterflies and other insects enjoying the wildflowers too!
Ayla 😊
